The short version

How to schedule TikTok posts, in short: open TikTok Studio in a browser, upload the video, switch on Schedule, and pick a date and time. It is free and built into TikTok. A third party scheduler can do the same through TikTok's official Content Posting API.

  • TikTok Studio on the web is the dependable route; 2026 guides describe a window of up to 10 days ahead
  • On a phone, guides report scheduling in the TikTok Studio app, but in the main app only for some accounts
  • Third party tools post through TikTok's API, which TikTok says caps each account's posts per day

Can you schedule TikTok posts?

Yes. TikTok has its own free scheduler, which began on the web as the Video Scheduler. Guides from 2026 describe a window of up to 10 days ahead.

Today scheduling lives in TikTok Studio, TikTok's home for managing your posts and reading your analytics. You reach it on TikTok's website, and there is a TikTok Studio app too.

There are three ways to schedule, and each suits a different kind of poster:

  • TikTok Studio on the web: free, built in, and the most dependable route.
  • Your phone: the TikTok Studio app and, for some accounts, the main TikTok app offer a schedule option.
  • A third party scheduler: a tool you connect to your account through TikTok's official Content Posting API.

Hopper HQ's and SocialKit's 2026 guides say scheduling needs a creator or business account, not a basic personal one. Before you switch, note that a business account cannot join TikTok's Creator Rewards Program. If the option is missing, check your account type first.

How to schedule TikTok posts on desktop with TikTok Studio

The web is where TikTok's scheduling has worked longest. These steps match TikTok Studio as guides described it in 2026. Labels can move when TikTok updates the page.

  1. Log in at tiktok.com in a desktop browser and open TikTok Studio from the menu.
  2. Choose Upload and add your video.
  3. Write the caption, add hashtags, pick a cover, and set who can view, comment and duet.
  4. Switch on the Schedule option and choose the date and time.
  5. Confirm with the Schedule button.

Check the date picker before you plan further ahead: it shows how far your account can schedule.

Treat a scheduled post as final. Hopper HQ and Socialync report that once a video is scheduled, its video, caption and time cannot be edited. To change anything, delete it and schedule it again.

Can you schedule TikTok posts on mobile?

Often, but it depends on which app you use. The options changed during 2025, and the sources still disagree on the main app.

  • The TikTok Studio app: SocialKit reports that TikTok's separate creator app added scheduling in early 2025, so you can schedule from a phone without another tool.
  • The main TikTok app: in July 2025, Social Media Today reported a date and time option in the app's post composer. Several 2026 guides still say most accounts have none, so it may not have reached yours.
  • Your phone's browser: open tiktok.com, go to TikTok Studio, and follow the desktop steps above.

If your app offers a schedule option on the last screen before posting, use it. If it does not, the browser gives you the same scheduler as a desktop.

What are the limits of TikTok's own scheduler?

TikTok's scheduler is built for one creator planning the next week or so. Its limits show as soon as you plan further ahead or run more accounts.

None of this matters much for one account posting once a day. It matters a lot when a calendar spans weeks, or several accounts.

How do third party TikTok schedulers work?

A third party scheduler posts through the Content Posting API, TikTok's official way for apps to publish to an account. You authorize the app on your account before it can post.

The API has two paths. Direct Post publishes the video straight to your profile, with your caption and privacy choices. Upload sends it to your TikTok inbox as a draft, which you finish and post in the app.

TikTok's developer guidelines set rules that every approved tool works within:

  • Apps that have not passed TikTok's audit can only post privately. Check that a tool is approved before you pay for it.
  • Each account has a daily cap on posts made through the API. TikTok's developer guidelines say it varies by creator and is typically around 15 a day, shared by every app posting to that account.
  • The app must show which account it is posting to, and must not add its own logo, watermark or promotional link to your video.

Third party tools can add what TikTok Studio lacks: a longer calendar, many accounts in one place, and posting to other platforms. The rules on what tools may do are in our guide to TikTok automation.

What time should you schedule TikTok posts for?

Scheduling lets you post at your audience's hours without being awake for them. Take those hours from your own analytics in TikTok Studio, not from a generic chart.

Our guide to the best time to post on TikTok covers what the studies say, how to read your followers' activity, and time zones. Convert the time before you set it: your audience's evening may be your morning.

Filming a week of videos in one sitting, then scheduling them, makes a steady schedule easier to keep. For the rest of the routine, see how to get more views on TikTok.

How to schedule TikTok posts on 10 or 100 accounts

Scheduling one account is easy. Scheduling many changes the work, because every option above handles accounts one at a time.

  • In TikTok Studio, you log in to each account, upload each video and set each time.
  • Third party tools gather many accounts in one calendar, but each account keeps its own daily API cap.
  • Give each account its own videos and captions. One clip posted everywhere gives viewers no reason to follow more than one account.

Scheduling does not change the rules. TikTok's Community Guidelines ban fake engagement and accounts that mislead people or manipulate the platform. TikTok can restrict or ban accounts that break them.

Before you add the tenth account, read can you have multiple TikTok accounts. It covers how to add and switch accounts, and what TikTok's rules say about running several.

Scheduling posts on many accounts with Tiktok Farm

Tiktok Farm builds phone farms for people who post their own videos to many accounts every day. Each account lives on its own real iPhone, running the official TikTok app: one account per phone.

The Farm Software on your computer holds the posting calendar for every account and shows every phone on one screen. It sends a brief each morning, and an alert when something needs you.

A Limited Station runs 10 phones; a Big Farm runs 20 to 120. It posts your own videos and buys no views or engagement. TikTok can still limit or remove any account.

Questions

Is scheduling TikTok posts free?

Yes. TikTok's own scheduler in TikTok Studio is free. Third party schedulers are separate products with their own pricing.

How far in advance can you schedule a TikTok?

Guides from 2026 describe a window of up to 10 days in TikTok Studio. The date picker there shows your account's exact limit. Third party tools keep their own calendars and publish through TikTok's API when the time comes.

Can you edit a scheduled TikTok post?

Guides report that you cannot: once a video is scheduled in TikTok Studio, its video, caption and time are fixed. To change anything, delete the scheduled post and schedule it again.

Why can't I see the schedule option on TikTok?

Guides point to two likely reasons: a basic personal account, or a main app where the option has not reached you yet. Switch to a creator or business account, update the app, or use TikTok Studio in a browser.

How many TikTok posts can a scheduling app publish per day?

TikTok's developer guidelines cap the posts apps can publish to one account through the Content Posting API in a 24 hour window. They say the cap varies by creator and is typically around 15, shared by every app posting to that account.
